Recent research in Australia has shown a big increase in the number of students who are plagiarising their work. Plagiarism is trying to pass of someone else’s work as your own. The problem with this is that the student is not learning and gaining new knowledge. They are simply producing information to pass a course or piece of work. Copying someone else’s work does not increase learning.
