Established by John Mason, author of 130+ books, magazine editor, publisher, parks director, university and college lecturer and the recipient of Fellowships from IOH (UK), AIH and PLA (Australia).

| LEARNING METHODS
Online
Learning materials are delivered via our unique learning management system (LMS). Upon enrolment, students receive login details and course instructions by email. Everything is simple, from assignment submission to receiving feedback or asking tutors a question. Offline Learning materials are provided on a USB and mailed to students. This option suits those with unreliable internet connections or restricted online access.
Correspondence - Yes we still can! Learning materials are provided as printed notes, with assignments mailed in post. This traditional distance education approach supports learners in remote areas or situations where computers aren’t readily accessible. |
| ASSESSMENT METHODS
Self assessment tests (SATs) are automated questions at the end of each lesson, that reinforce key information to improve learning retention.
Assignments build on lesson notes and introduce new topics that push students to conduct self-driven research beyond just revising course material. Assignments are submitted to their assigned tutor for marking and feedback.
Problem Based Learning (PBL) projects is a student-centred approach which leads students to tackle open-ended problems rather than receive direct information. This method originated in U.S. universities, is highly effective at building knowledge and skills while strengthening the ability to work to specification.
Examinations are for ACS qualifications beyond a certificate of completion. Exams are either pen and paper vetted by a supervisor, or online, and can be done from anywhere. Alternative options exist for student assessment when undertaking exams isn't possible. |
